Hughes & Innes was originally a Bathroom & Kitchen Planet franchise which was operated under the terms of the franchise initially then taken over by local ownership who elected to keep the Bathroom & Kitchen Planet brand and name although operating as an independent retailer. The business operated within the local Highland kitchen & bathroom market for 25 years before re-branding to Hughes & Innes which better reflected where the business was positioned in the marketplace and portrayed values that underpinned how the business is operated and managed, such as: a pursuance of quality products, quality workmanship and great service.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE NAME

The business is run by husband and wife couple Helen & Steve Hughes and business partner Brian Innes.

Steve and Helen initially joined the business during the Bathroom Planet era where Steve was a bathroom fitter and plumber and quickly rose to be the ‘go to’ authority on all aspects of choosing & installing bathrooms.

Helen’s background is within business management, working in retail and alongside the kitchen & bathroom industry for almost 2 decades refining organisational skills that prove invaluable when assisting clients in arranging installations & renovations. Helen has a flair for style and design, ensuring that she and the business are cognisant of current and emerging design trends.

Brian is a joiner to trade and experienced kitchen fitter who’s abilities in planning a kitchen installation combined with his industry experience and technical competencies position him perfectly to assist with any aspect of a kitchen installation.
